DuckDuckGo Expands Subscription Offering with Access to Latest AI Models for Enhanced Privacy
Consumer privacy-focused tech firm DuckDuckGo introduces an expanded subscription offering, now incorporating access to cutting-edge AI models via its platform Duck.ai at no additional cost. As announced on Thursday, subscribers can leverage various AI models, including Anthropic’s Claude 3.5 Haiku, Meta’s Llama 4 Scout, Mistral AI’s Mistral Small 3 24B, and OpenAI’s GPT-4o mini, without incurring extra charges.
Users of the $9.99 monthly subscription plan will gain access to more advanced models, such as OpenAI’s GPT-4o and GPT-5, Anthropic’s Claude Sonnet 4, and Meta’s Llama Maverick. The company emphasizes that these high-capacity models excel in adhering to intricate instructions, preserving context throughout extended conversations, and delivering complex, refined responses.
The subscription service offers subscribers a means of utilizing some of the latest AI models while maintaining privacy concerns at the forefront. This versatile approach allows users to access multiple providers without being confined to one. Alternatively, Quora’s Poe provides similar multi-model access starting from $5 per month.
DuckDuckGo plans to progressively add more premium subscription tiers to its portfolio, offering larger and more sophisticated models in the future. The company has yet to disclose whether there are any usage restrictions on the current plan.
