Payhawk Introduces Four AI Agents for Automating Finance Tasks for CFOs

Bulgaria’s corporate payments and expense management platform, Payhawk, unveils four autonomous AI agents aimed at automating finance tasks as part of its strategy to bolster artificial intelligence offerings for Chief Financial Officers (CFOs).

These AI agents represent a move towards agentic AI, which enables independent software systems to carry out tasks without requiring human intervention beyond responding to queries.

Unlike traditional chatbots that merely dispense information, these advanced AI agents are capable of executing actions such as arranging travel, processing payments, and managing procurement workflows autonomously.

Konstantin Dzhengozov, Co-founder and CFO at Payhawk, views AI as a complementary tool that enhances existing financial controls rather than as a replacement technology: “AI serves as an additional layer on top of all the pre-existing controls and frameworks,” he explains.
