61% of Companies Miss Out on AI-Powered Productivity Gains Despite Acknowledged Need for Workplace Transformation
Business leaders across the board recognize the necessity for a transformation within their workplaces, yet many remain stuck in the planning stage while competitors reap the benefits of AI-powered productivity enhancements.
Lenovo’s “Igniting Real Workplace Transformation” report reveals this growing divide between ambition and action.
A staggering 97% of organizations acknowledge the need to transform their digital workplaces, yet fewer than four in ten have embarked on this transformation journey. This leaves a significant 61% of companies observing from the sidelines as early adopters reap the rewards of productivity boosts and improved employee experiences offered by AI-enabled workplaces.
The majority of IT leaders cite creating engaging, productive work environments as their top priority; however, less than half believe their current digital workplace delivers on this promise. The gap has only widened with the advent of AI.
More than 80% of IT leaders recognize the potential of General Artificial Intelligence (Gen AI) to revolutionize work processes. Yet, a striking 89% also understand that implementing AI tools necessitates a comprehensive transformation of the workplace, not merely the acquisition of new software.
However, Lenovo’s research further reveals that only 39% are currently undergoing such a transformation.
